Makin’ Bacon — May 2020 Edition

It’s looking like this lockdown is going to last quite a bit longer and as such, I’d like to offer my little bit of love. It’s weird how we go back to our roots. 🙂

I’ve found a great supplier of pork belly and I’ve been busy making a bunch of different kinds of bacon over the last few weeks and I feel like I’m getting pretty good at it. If you’d like to get in on this, I’m doing a one-time deal delivered directly to you here in the Portland-area either hot off the smoker or vacuum sealed after the 12 day wet cure.

Choose from the following in 2 lbs increments:

  • Peppered Maple— Salt + maple syrup plus freshly cracked peppercorns.
  • Spicy Hot KveTut — Salt + Korean red pepper flakes and a hint of our KveTut hot sauce.
  • Sweet Hot Mustard (this is oddly good) — Several mustards along with some salt, brown sugar and cracked peppercorns.
  • Molasses Himalayan Peppered — Himalayan salt with a mix of fresh cracked pepper and a blend of soy sauce and molasses for salty/sweet goodness.

$10/lb and minimum of 2 lbs. Direct message me to place your order … delivery date will be Saturday May 16th, 2020. Please specify if you’d like it nitrite free (look it up; it’s bad for certain people but delicious to everyone).

An extra $7/order and you get your choice of rosemary or plain sourdough bread. Limited supplies.

I’m not trying to make money off this but those pork bellies and all that flour doesn’t pay for themselves … just a random way to deliver some goodness to the folks we know and love. 🙂
